Get the deliciousness of Uncrustables at home with this simple and easy toasted version recipe. These homemade toasted Uncrustables are perfect for a quick lunch or snack and offer a delightful crunch that will appeal to both kids and adults.

  • Total Time: 13 minutes
  • Yield: 2 sandwiches 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of white or whole wheat bread
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons jelly or jam of your choice
  • 1 sandwich sealer and decruster tool (optional)
  • Butter for toasting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Lay out your slices of bread.
  2. Spread a tablespoon of peanut butter on two of the slices, making sure to leave a border around the edge for sealing.
  3. Spread a tablespoon of jelly or jam on the other two slices, also leaving a border around the edge.
  4. Sandwich the slices together: one peanut butter slice with one jelly slice.
  5. If you have a sandwich sealer and decruster tool, use it to seal the edges of the sandwiches and remove the crusts. If you don’t, press the edges of the sandwiches together with a fork to seal, and then cut off the crusts with a knife.
  6. Lightly butter the outside of each sandwich (optional step for extra crunch and flavor).
  7. Toast the sandwiches in a toaster or toaster oven until golden brown and crispy.
  8. Allow to cool for a minute or two before serving, as the filling will be hot.
  9.

Notes

  • You can switch out the peanut butter and jelly for other fillings like Nutella, cream cheese and jam, or ham and cheese.
  • Be careful when eating as the filling may be hot right after toasting.
