- 1 lb raw shelled peanuts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste (optional)
- Additional seasonings of your choice (optional, like chili powder, garlic powder, etc.)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the peanuts with the olive oil until they’re evenly coated.
- Spread the peanuts out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure they roast evenly.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with salt and any other seasonings you’d like, while they’re still hot.
- Allow the peanuts to cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
Notes
- Be careful not to over-roast the peanuts as they can easily burn.
- The peanuts will continue to cook a little after being removed from the oven due to the residual heat, so you may want to pull them out when they’re slightly underdone.
