- 1 ripe pineapple
- 3 fresh habanero peppers
- 1/4 cup of vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- Peel and core the pineapple, then cut it into chunks.
- Cut off the stems of the habanero peppers and slice them in half.
- Arrange the pineapple chunks and habanero halves on a baking sheet.
- Roast them in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they’re nicely charred.
- Allow the roasted pineapple and habaneros to cool, then put them in a blender.
- Add the vinegar and salt, and blend until smooth.
- Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Notes
- If the sauce is too spicy, add more pineapple.
- If it’s too sweet, add another habanero or more vinegar.
