- 10–pound pork shoulder, bone-in or boneless
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup sea salt
- 1/4 cup black pepper
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 225°F (107°C).
- Pat the pork shoulder dry with paper towels.
- Mix together the sea salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, brown sugar, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Rub the pork shoulder with olive oil, then apply the spice mixture all over the pork, massaging it into the meat.
- Place the pork shoulder fat-side up in a roasting pan and roast for about 8 to 10 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.
- Allow the pork shoulder to rest for 15 minutes before pulling or slicing.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with your favorite sides.
