- 3–4 lbs pork shoulder
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup red wine (optional)
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 carrots, sliced
Instructions
- Season the pork shoulder with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the pork shoulder and brown on all sides.
- Place the browned pork shoulder in the slow cooker. Add garlic, onion, carrots, chicken broth, and red wine.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours until the pork is tender and falls apart easily.
- Remove the pork roast from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
